Just checking to see if anyone is interested to tour the South Island this summer with me. I have a mountain bike and can ride up to 70 km per day. Prefer to stay at backpackers as it's always a bit too cold for me to camp outside even in summer!

Great place to ride. Spent two months on solo trip there in summer of 2018. Here's my route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27149591. Ortago is easy but a highlight! Take the train from Dunedin, great start for the adventure. All the best!
