buying a used bike in irkutsk

Hi, I am planning to cycle from Irkutsk to Ulan Bator via Ulan Ude (and Lake Baikal island) in mid May. Does anyone know if it is possible/reasonable to buy a used mountain bike in Irkutsk? I would rather not take my bicycle on an airplane. Any other advice on the mentioned route is greatly appreciated! thanks, Lisa
