Route advice Santander to Toulouse

Hola, Bonjour, Hello. I'm starting a trip from Sandtander to Toulouse on the 13th of November

Looking for advice re route options. Given the time of the year I want to avoid the very high puertos/mountains. Like the idea of the coast but willing to consider the hills also

Gracias, merci, many thanks

Andy

We travelled in the opposite

We travelled in the opposite direction and went through Albi on the way to Santander. You could look at our route and alter it to get to Toulouse. Mainly backroads, no mountains but some hills in Spain.

Hi, I have done the coast

Hi, I have done the coast from Santander towards Bayonne/ Biaritzz area. It was beautiful, coastal hill not too challenging and plenty of cheap municiple campgrounds . However that was in Summer 20 years ago, so probably not too many campgrounds open at this time of year, but maybe still some. But the coast is still beautiful. Can't help with the Tolouse bit. My suggestion would be to head South to warmer climates ;-) Good luck with your trip.

Hi, me again. You might also

Hi, me again. You might also consider the ide of heading wast for a bit and then heading over the Picos De Europa mountains ( Potes road ) and then picking up the Camino Santiago route and head East against the flow back of pilgrims toward Pamplona and Roncevalles / St.John Pied de Port. Again I didn't find the mountains so hard ( you look way fitter than I did when I did it ) and hopefully there would not yet be snow in mountains. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the cheapish Pilgrims Refugios where I styed along the route. There are many. You don't need to be catholic or religious to do the Camino Santiago, all kinds of people do it. You just need to pick up a pilgrim passport at any Pilgrims office along the way ( Burgos maybe ). There is plenty of info on the internet.
